FINALLY, BRETT GAVE ME A RING!!!!!!!!

Today we spent the day at Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake CIty.
We went there at Brett's suggestion to feed the ducks (which i am always so thrilled to do!), and just lay out on a blanket, enjoying the weather and scenery.
There was a wedding reception going on this evening, and Brett started joking about marriage. He put his Brazilian seed ring on my ring finger and joked "Look. It's like we're engaged now!".
"VERY FUNNY..." I said, not completely amused. I shook of the Brazilian seed ring and let it fall on the blanket next to him. I turned around and went back to watching the animals and the reception. Brett grabbed my hand again, and i thought he was being silly, putting the brazilian ring back on my finger.
I turned around to tell him something like "Oh, Brett, you're silly..."
But at the moment i turned around, he said, "Aisling, will you marry me???"

I thought it was a joke! But i looked down at my finger and OMG I HAVE A SHINY DIAMOND RING ON IT!!!!!!!!
I was so shocked and surprised, i just start bawling. (I think i scared Brett a little bit. What a champ he is to not have run away!)
So...we both cried and after i finally calmed down, he got a "YES!" out of me. Ü

So that is the story!
What a wonderful surprise it was to me! It was the most perfect evening EVER! Ü

Love,
soon-to-be,

Aisling Silva

The Cabin!

When mom and i drove up to Cedar City to pick Sydney up from school, we stopped by the cabin.
Here are some beautiful pictures from one of our favorite places in the world.

The beautiful trees

Duck Creek

Adam's time in Havasupai

As a superactivity for the young men in our ward, Adam was able to go to the Grand Canyon. They hiked down 10 miles to the very bottom! 35 boys. wow.
Part of their time there, they were all able to explore the beautiful waterfalls. Another part of their trip was devoted to a service project for the Havasu Indian Branch that actually is at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It's amazing, whether at the top of the world on a high mountain top, or the deepest part of a canyon, the church is still true, and it is always there.

Adam jumping off. Crazy!

Band Regionals

So today Adam had Regionals (for band, but choir and orchestra were also there), and we decided to go see the event as a family. Mom, Dad, Brett, me, and Matt all drove out to Camelback High School in really-far-away phoenix.

We arrived about an hour early for the event and spent half of that time waiting outside in line for the doors to open. When we got inside, the Choir part of regionals went first, so we got to listen to them. I enjoyed when they finally got to the Band section, because some of the choir songs were weird, and it was much more impressive to watch a full-sized band play on their instruments.

The band was AWESOME. It was amazing to think that the music coming from the stage was made up of kids from all over the valley who didn't even know each other. Great job, guys. It was very impressive.

Anyways, here are some pictures from the event:

The fam outside the auditorium

Brett and me. Yay.

We discovered Mindy outside.
(sorry Mindy, But we don't know how to put your
picture the right way yet! We're still new at this.)

This is Adam after his performance as he's walking off stage.
Slightly creepy.  Maybe all that blowing into the trombone got to him.

There are my handsome Mans. Awe...
